Christmas 2010 Gift Scarf #2

Being a new knitter, I got the wild idea to make scarves for folks for Christmas this year. Good thing I started early!

This is the brand and weight of yarn I picked for my Mom's scarf, in a rich red color:
Knit Picks Swish Worsted 100% Superwash Merino Wool, Color Fired Brick

The pattern I'm using is free on the Internet. It's so simple but makes such a lovely texture! I might have to make one of these for myself.
One Row Handspun Scarf by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee.

Here is a picture of the scarf about half done. It's looking great!

Here is the finished scarf. I started on it as soon as I finished the scarf for my Mother-in-Law and it only took 3 weeks to make... in between quilting projects LOL. I'm really quite proud of it, and I hope my Mom loves it too.
