Christmas 2010 Gift Scarf #5 Being a new knitter, I got the wild idea to make scarves for folks for Christmas this year. Good thing I started early! This is the brand and weight of yarn I picked for my FIL's scarf, a handsome dark brown color: Knit Picks Swish Worsted 100% Superwash Merino Wool, Color Truffle The pattern I'm using is free on the Internet. It's so simple but makes such a lovely texture! I might have to make one of these for myself. Mariner's Scarf Pattern by The Seamen's Church Institute. Here is the finished scarf. I took it with me to Chicago during our 2-week visit with my parents and I got a lot of it done there. I finished it up at home not too long after our return. I'm really quite proud of it, and I hope my FIL loves it too.
