Antique #1 Reproduction - Blocks


Here is a documentation of the blocks I'm making for the reproduction of the antique quilt. I am hand piecing them (though the original was machine pieced) because most older quilts were hand pieced, and this gives me a portable project to work on when I'm out and sitting around. I'm still debating whether or not I'll hand quilt it as well, I've never hand quilted and this will be a BIG project (80" x 80"), so the debate rages on...

05/02/09 Update: All 50 blocks are done! Now comes the part where I join them all together with alternating plain white fabric to complete the quilt top. Stay tuned... though don't expect much any time soon... it took 2 years to get this far... :)
