Notes about this quilt:

This was my maternal grandmother's quilt, I believe she made it though I have never actually seen her make a quilt. This and Double Wedding Ring #2 have been on her guest beds for many, many years. I remember sleeping under one of them on several occasions.

I believe this quilt is actually from the 1930's or early 1940's, as the fabrics are consistent with 1930's era fabrics. The entire quilt is made by hand... hand pieced and hand quilted. Even the binding was sewn on by hand, front and back. There are a few places where the binding has popped off or worn through, but that is to be expected. There are also a few minor stains, and on this quilt there is one place where the fabric has ripped a small amount. There may be more, I haven't done a thorough exam yet. But overall, this quilt is in excellent condition.
