Batting and Threads

Threads:
Note that I do not accept thread from my customers. In order to ensure the quality of my quilting, I only use threads from my own inventory because I have used them enough to know that they are up to my standards and have stood the test of time. That said, I have the color charts for the threads I use below so you can choose which thread you prefer.

Threads by Superior Threads are my threads of choice. They are all of the highest quality and the colors offered are beautiful. Click below to see the various color charts, but please be aware that the colors you see might differ slightly from the true thread color, as every computer monitor displays color just a bit differently. I will color match your quilt top to the thread you have selected to make sure it produces the desired effect, and if not I will make suggestions for alternatives that would work better.

Batting:
My batting of choice is Quilter's Dream Batting. I have been extremely impressed with their quality and with the drape of the finished quilt, especially after washing.

Now available - Quilters Dream Green batting, the Earth-friendly soft polyester batting made 100% from recycled plastic bottles! This is a wonderful alternative to "virgin" polyester and is good for the environment at the same time. The batting has a slight green tint to it, but it is light and will not alter the color of your quilt top. It costs the same as "virgin" polyester batting, so you don't have to break your budget to be Earth-friendly. I've used this batting myself and have been impressed with its performance and durability.

• Dream Blend - 70% cotton / 30% polyester. This batting is just as soft as 100% cotton yet stands up to years of wear.
• Dream Cotton - Either Natural or White, available in several lofts or thicknesses.
• Dream Poly - Virgin polyester batting, available in white or black.
• Dream Green - Polyester batting made 100% from recycled plastic bottles.
• Specialty battings:
  • Dream Puff - Polyester batting that is warmer than down, great for winter quilts.
  • Dream Wool - A fabulously warm and natural batting, with a fabulous drape.
