Custom Quilt Pricing Schedule
Quilting is a labor of love. It requires many hours of desigining, preparation, and sewing. Of course, there is nothing
quite so special as a quilt that is made just for you, to your specifications. I offer my services to you, to create the
quilt of your dreams.
My fees for creating a quilt will consist of:
- Cost of materials (fabric, batting, thread)
- Hourly fee of $10/hour as I cut the fabric, sew your quilt top, and attach the binding by hand.
- Memory Quilts: Add an additional $5.00 per photo or other special image to be
included in the quilt.
- Standard quilting fee
- Shipping costs, if applicable
Pricing will vary depending on the complexity of the pattern and the size of quilt you want. Remember that it is a very
time-consuming process to create a quilt from scratch, labor is a major factor of these prices. Also remember that the
more complex a pattern is, the more time and materials will go into the quilt, and the more expensive it will be.
This is a commissioned quilt I made for a client, she wanted a wallhanging to put in her daughter's nursery. This quilt measured
36" x 36" when finished. Features of this quilt include:
- A pieced top in custom colors and prints.
- The Daisies Galore pattern was used to quilt it.
- A hanging sleeve was attached to the back.
- An oversized label on the back, custom designed for my client.
Below you will see the acutal material and labor costs that went into making this quilt. Remember that pricing will vary from quilt
to quilt, depending on the quilt pattern and size; a larger quilt and/or a more complex pattern will result in a higher price.

* Here is the breakdown of those 14 hours of labor. Remember that these times will vary depending on the pattern
chosen and the size of the quilt. Smaller quilts will require less time than larger quilts.
