Machine Quilting

As every quilt is different, the cost of quilting will vary. Generally the quilting fee will be based on how large your quilt top is and the kind of quilting done on it. If this is a quilt that will be heavily used, such as a child's quilt, I highly recommend an overall pantograph or freehand pattern as it is the sturdiest type of quilting. Ornamental pieces or those that will be gently used can benefit from custom quilting that can bring out the details of your piecing.

Here's how this works:

• As my customer, you must provide me with your quilt top and back.
• Please review these guidelines for preparing your quilt top and back for machine quilting.

• View my selection of pantographs and all-over freehand quilting designs.

I have a library of photos of samples of my work that you're welcome to explore.

Minimum charge for quilting: $50.00

Quilting type:	Price (per square inch):
Edge-To-Edge Quilting One treatment over the whole quilt, pantograph or freehand (for example, meandering)	$0.017
Simple Custom Quilting 2 quilting elements in a quilt, i.e separate body and border treatments	$0.03
Complex Custom Quilting 3 or more quilting elements in a quilt, i.e. border, sashing, and block treatments	$0.04
